This seminar is presented from an industry perspective and is intended for land and technical personnel for, or involved in, the strategy and managing of BC Assets.  The case study approach to BC Continuations & Tenure Management, covers considerations from posting strategy through to maximizing the value of capital decisions that ultimately impact the end goal of continuation.  An overview of the BC Tenure regulations will be covered, and emphasis will be on strategies that can be employed in the life cycle of lands: posting lands, drilling, grouping, and submitting continuation applications.  The practical applications of BC"s Tenure regulations is intended to enhance the participant"s knowledge of formulating strategies and effectively guiding technical teams as part of managing their BC assets.

What:

A case study approach to BC Tenure Management, covering considerations from posting strategy through to maximizing the value of capital decisions that impact ability to continue lands with targeted/specific capital expenditures, groupings, and related undertakings that ultimately result in the submission of Continuation Application(s). This seminar includes an overview of the BC Tenure Continuation regulations along with various strategies and undertakings that can be considered and employed in the life cycle of lands: posting lands, drilling, grouping, submitting continuation applications.

Instructor:

Calynda Evans

Calynda Evans is a Consulting Land Negotiator with 18 years of mineral land, business development and A&D experience. Calynda began working with the team at C Group Energy Inc. in 2016, with a key role in managing C Group"s business development opportunities. Her experience includes 10 years as a Senior Land Negotiator at Encana Corporation, responsible for areas including the Montney resource play in Northeast BC. Ms. Evans held prior positions at Waterous & Co., and as a Land Consultant for several companies including Chevron Canada. Ms. Evans was also an instructor for the Petroleum Land Management Program from 2004-2008 at the Haskayne School of Business.
