Public Consultation Course Summary: (1.5 hrs)

In this seminar we will cover the regulatory requirements for public consultation in a variety of sectors and jurisdictions. Trends, social influences, and policy changes will be reviewed. We will also discuss best practices for handling complex and high volume consultations.

Presenter -  Dayna Morgan, COO – BRITT Land & Engagement

As COO of BRITT Land & Engagement, Dayna oversees all operations, making the company’s vision a reality. Her focus areas are leading strategic initiatives, refining process and systems, team mentorship and generating opportunities for growth and continuous learning. Dayna delivers presentations and training on a variety of topics in Land Access, Facilitation, Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership. With over 20 years working in the Energy, Infrastructure and Land Development sectors, she can pull from on-the-ground experiences. Dayna received her certificate in Land from Mount Royal University, completed Foundations in Public Participation through IAP2, and is an active member of CAPL, CAPLA, IRWA, IAP2 and PMI. 

Renewable Energy Course Summary: (1.5hrs)

In this session Tom will guide us through the acquisition processes associated with the different types of Renewable energy projects that we currently see in Alberta and other jurisdictions

Presenter  - Tom Morgan, Regional Land Manager, Landsoultions

Tom has close to 14 years of surface land acquisition and project management experience, specializing in the renewable and transmission powerline industries. Since 2007, Tom has completed successful consultation and acquisition programs for both large and small-scale renewable and energy transmission projects in Canada and the United States, including several 500KV lines and 400MW solar projects. Based out of Calgary, Tom currently manages LandSolutions offices in Eastern Canada and the Northeast United States which provides a broad spectrum of renewable experience in varying jurisdictions.
