April 1 Presentation - Water Use Permits and Licences

Water is a highly valuable resource and abundant volumes of water are required in the oil and gas industry.  In this presentation, we explain when a Short-Term Use Permit is required and when a Water Licence is required.  We also explain how a Water Supply/Demand Analysis is completed and used as an aid to determine if a watershed contains sufficient volumes of water to support a particular oil and gas activity, while not impacting the environmental flow needs of that watershed.  We will also briefly touch on water storage dugouts and regulated dams.

She is extremely familiar with regulatory requirements as they pertain to the oil and gas industry in British Columbia and approaches each project with the intent to provide site-specific solutions that are accepted by the regulator and obtainable by the client.
