Acquisitions & Dispositions - Deep Dive into Crown Royalties (Morning) POSTPONED

April 9, 2020

Time: 9:00 - 12:00
09:00-12:00
Location: CAPL Office Suite 1600, 520 5th Ave SW

What:

In simpler times, royalties were very straight forward; if you had an oil well you paid a set royalty. It did not matter when the well was drilled, how much oil was produced or what the current price was. Today, for some very valid reasons, the crown royalty game has become much more complex.

This 1/2 day course, 2 of 4, will take participants into the "deep end" of crown royalties within British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. We will discuss the importance of understanding the royalty program for each province and the need for accurate record keeping and as they pertain to oil and gas production in the Western provinces.

Participants will learn the intricacies of royalty calculations for horizontal and multilateral wells.

The four courses in this program are:

March 12, 2020 Technical & Operations
April 9, 2020 Deep Dive into Crown Royalties
May 7, 2020 Understanding Corporate Documents
June 11, 2020 Interpreting Economic Evaluations (Reserves 101)

While it is advantageous to take all of the courses in the order of presentation, it is not necessary. Participants are encouraged to select the courses that will most benefit their career today and in the near future.

Registration Fee includes beverages and snacks.
Save $50 when you register at least 3 weeks in advance! Prices will increase 3 weeks prior to the course.
